Butterfly Horn is great as well for spear users. I found a Claymore to be a great weapon pre-Moonlight Greatsword, which was my end game weapon for my Sorcerer. The initial stat investment isn't too bad (since you'll be getting the MLGS with it as well), it has a great move set, and looks pretty rad all around.
