The app has been buggy for a long time before tvOS 16. If you leave the episode and go back to it and select Continue (ie where you left off), it will go to the place where you left off and then the audio loops repeatedly. Sometimes if you leave the episode the audio will continue to play and you have to restart the whole Apple TV. Companies having a monopoly means we all lose as consumers. As much as I don’t like Hidive’s app, it keeps Crunchyroll from buying everything and jacking the price up. And hidive tends to go for shows that Crunchyroll also won’t touch. Plus it’s $4/mo if you pay for it by the year. Now that they have an Amazon Prime channel I'm tempted to dive in again, but it seems like the majority of new shows and several old shows are not available on prime (Call of the Night, Takagi S3, Ya Boy Kongming, YuYuYu).
