Sadly it wouldn't shock me if a Cayman 718 S is now a rarer car in the Uk over a 718 gt4 or 992.1 turbo s .The better part of a year later, D1 shows up with a GTS 4.0 allocation but wanted a $15k ADM, more than 3x what they originally suggested. I declined to wait for a GT4. Another 6 months later they come in with a GT4 allocation, but with a $25k markup (which would've put my build at $150k, which was almost twice what I'd paid for my 981 GT4).That meets two goals - the end of the flat-4 engines (which are unique to the 718, and built in very small numbers), and the ability to build a couple years of hyped demand for the re-introduced GTS/GT4 models (which share the basic flat-6 parts with the 911). Prices for the re-intro'd GTS/GT4 will be at least 25% higher than now.
