Dayz has been out for 8 years looks terrible has more of survival stuff fleshed out but Scum looks amazing and has more things to actually explore and has only been out 3 years so hasn’t hit its final form or greatest potential yet, where DayZ is getting tired and really doesn’t have much anywhere else to go without a complete remake IMO.Personally, I carry one 2x2 of canned food (usually canned bacon), one soda, and a stack of chlorine all inside a cooking pot. This allows for one back up food if you get low and still can’t find an animal to hunt. One back up liquid for if you can’t get to water quick enough to purify a pot with chlorine.Plenty of RP, lore, and good/bad people that will give you a great introduction to Dayz.
