Put new Mopar thermostat in, and the JK still runs at 220 on average. Took JK to my other mechanic. He did some research and found that drilling a 1/8" hole in thermostat will allow Jeep to run cooler. Decided to drill hole. The Jeep is still running hot. About 220. The hot oil warning is not for engine oil, it's for the automatic transmission. Check your transmission fluid level and condition. Also check for any obstruction of the transmission cooler.
