The mechanic found multiple concerns with the engine and recommended an engine replacement. I attached their quote, $8000 for used engine or $9300 for remanufactured engine.Problem is going to be seejngnif they took out a piston or cylinder wall as well. You could tear it down and inspect the pistons and block, if they're fine you can throw a head on it. Get a new chain/tensioner/guides.
