1. Boyd Corners. Starting from the northeastern reaches of the East of Hudson Watershed, the Boyd Corners Reservoir is in the Town of Kent and has a water surface area of 378 acres. The dam was constructed in 1872 by damming the West Branch of the Croton River. This NYC reservoir provides anglers with good bass and panfishing with the occassional walleye being caught. For catching bass try using tube jigs and crankbaits fished along the rocks. When targeting panfish try using a small bright colored jighead tipped with a nightcrawler or minnow. By Kent Cliffs, we have Boyd Corners Reservoir on our right. There is a hard left at Meads Corners, and Route 301 passes close to Sagamore Lake. We pass over the Taconic State Parkway as we enter the Clarence Fahnestock Memorial State Park.
