Our 1300 and 1800 are listed in group 5. I doubt you would have a problem with 75-140. Ford makes a 75-140 synthetic that is the specified lube for the rear diff in my Expedition. I was thinking about putting that in the VTX- it's more of a heavy duty oil- Plus- any synthetic will flow at very low temps- even in Alaska. That is one of their advantages.When you finally get it off now you know don't tighten it more than you can do by hand. Next change you should be able to remove by hand but many do prefer hot oil changes.
